Captain Steve Munroe has over 40 years of aviation experience in both the military and civilian sectors. He brings a passion to pilot recruitment and development, having served as a pilot mentor and contributed to the hiring of hundreds of new hire pilots as a major airline pilot interviewer.

Steve is a retired Captain for American Airlines, where he also served as a B-737 Check Airman, FAA Aircrew Program Designee, and Standardization Coordinator. As a member of the Aviation Safety Go-Team, Steve was selected as the B-737 subject-matter expert to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) on a major international accident investigation.

As a Naval Aviator and F-14 Pilot, Steve was promoted to Commanding Officer of Fighter Squadron 202 based at NAS Dallas, TX. He is a Graduate of the United States Navy Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun) and was an Honor Graduate of the Naval Postgraduate Aviation Safety Officers Program. Steve has over 18,000 Flight Hours, 430 carrier arrested landings, and holds an Airline Transport Rating with Type Ratings in the FK-100, B-737, B-757, B-767 and A-310 aircraft.

Since 2017, Steve has contributed to the preparation and hiring of pilots at all major airlines, as well as being instrumental in the concept and development of realistic mock panel interview training targeting specific airlines.
